Chester Chest is a realistic and portable training aid for physicians, nurses, home health staff, patients and support persons to develop competence with the management of most common types of vascular access devices. Patients who have cancer often require ongoing chemotherapy and other systemic treatments and need a Central Venous Access Device (CVAD). Patients with cancer are the predominant population of people who have a portacath or hickman line and it is designed to make life easier for the patient who needs ongoing access to veins. Inserting the needle correctly into the device requires considerable skill.
