This piece of equipment provides the opportunity for Midwives and Obstetricians to support the delivery an impacted head of a baby during a Caesarean section. This model will help them to develop the manoeuvres and skills necessary to disimpact a fetal head without causing trauma to the fetal skull.
This mannequin will form part of the PROMPT (Practical Obstetric Multiprofessional Training) education workshops that WA Country Health Service run in all of 7 regions across 18 maternity sites.
