The Calesca is a waterless warming and thawing device that provides a safe and effective way to warm breastmilk/formula for newborns and babies in hospital. It avoids the use of steam sterilisers which may cause burns to babies, parents, carers and nursing staff. Easy to operate, it can be used on wards by families. The device can be used with milk from room, refrigerator, or freezer temperature, and warms it to temperatures consistent with the body. It preserves the integrity of breast milk, reduces the risk of mix-ups and contamination, and supports family-integrated care.
