This equipment will allow staff to expertly and accurately assess a neonatal patients transition to extra uterine life quickly to allow for any interventions to be commenced and improve patient outcomes. It will be used in the first few moments after birth to assess a newborns heart rate and oxygen levels. It will be replacing existing monitors that are no longer supported for maintenance at Hervey Bay Special Care Nursery.
