The requested equipment will enable the CLEARS team in collaboration with Paediatric, Neonatal, Emergency and Maternity staff to deliver high fidelity, evidence-based Neonatal Advanced Life Support training across the three regions. Currently the Neonatal Advanced Life Support Program at RDPH monthly with twice yearly courses at GDH and KH. These courses are open to NT Health and ACCHO sector staff. With increased access to equipment we expect to be able to deliver more NALS courses in Katherine and Gove as well as across Population and Primary Health Care. Simulation equipment and learning is now considered the gold standard in education. Access to a range of specialist training equipment will enable the delivery of specialized training courses to staff across the Top End of the Northern Territory. Currently, our limited access to manikins and smart tech is limiting both the quality and frequency at which we can deliver specialist information.
