The Intrepid Monitor & Defibrillator is a two in one device that will allow for better care to paediatric and neonatal patients in a resuscitation or pre-arrest situation. Currently, Echuca Regional Health has a device suitable to resuscitate an adult, however misses a high range of joules necessary to resuscitate paediatric patients. Echuca are seeing a rise in the acuity of paediatric patients visiting the hospital and this machine will enable a higher standard of care through more sensitive monitoring that had previously not been available.
