The Giraffe Shuttle is a transportable power source that is an accessory to Giraffe and Panda beds. It connects to the bed and provides electrical power to the bed and other auxiliary equipment, as well as provisions for medical gas management, required for patient care during intra-hospital transport.
The Giraffe Shuttle facilitates transport sick babies safely within the children’s hospital building to Westmead and to other care areas like radiology and operation theatres. It will help maintain the baby’s temperatures and places less stress on the baby when travelling across hospital departments. As a result, this will reduce the risk of the already sick babies developing additional complications.
