CONNEX VITAL SIGNS MONITOR, Baralaba Hospital, Acute Care, QLD

$3,410.00

Nganampa Health Council operates six main clinics as the only primary care and emergency health care provider on the Anangu, Pitjantjatjara, Yankunytjatjara Lands (APY Lands), serving a usual population of approximately 3000 people. The vital signs monitors will be used to monitor blood pressure, pulse and oxygen saturation of children during times of medical emergency. In any given year NHC will be involved in 70-100 paediatric evacuations. Many of these evacuations require the use of a vital signs monitor. A medical evacuation is generally a minimum of 4 hours and can be over 24 hrs if there are delays with getting the plane due to demand or poor weather. For most medical emergencies, a doctor is not physically present and a nurse provides the care. Replacements are needed to ensure the equipment is reliable in medical emergencies.
