The requested equipment will enable the CLEARS team in collaboration with Paediatric, Neonatal, Emergency and Maternity staff to deliver high fidelity, evidence-based Paediatric education. Specifically, Chester Chest with advanced ARM spare port is designed to support staff training around the management of children with chronic conditions requiring long term port/Central Venous Access Devices. The current model is now so broken that we are unable to use it for training. Simulation equipment and learning is now considered the gold standard in education. Access to a range of specialist training equipment will enable the delivery of specialized training courses to staff across the Top End of the Northern Territory. Currently, our limited access to manikins and smart tech is limiting both the quality and frequency at which we can deliver specialist information.
