Neonatal ventilation is an important part of the care delivered in the neonatal intensive care unit. The aim of any ventilation strategy is to support the premature infant’s respiratory system without inducing damage to the lung or the brain. It is a highly complex and challenging process that is streamlined with the use of this ventilator. The state of Victoria is currently under immense pressure for NICU/SCN beds due to increased births. The provision of these two additional ventilators will ease this strain.
