The ALS baby offers the opportunity to practice advanced resuscitation skills, including airway management, professional rescuer CPR, vascular access, and vital monitoring. This manikin will support clinical education across the Moruya and its surrounding areas and will enable all healthcare workers involved in neonatal resuscitation practice on equipment that is as lifelike as possible to ensure neonatal care in the rural sector can be safe and timely. Currently, the staff at Moruya Hospital are currently working with outdated equipment that need replacement.
