Join Kane Constructions in supporting the incredible work of The Children's Hospital at Westmead in caring for their community.

Partnering with the Humpty Dumpty Foundation, Kane’s goal is to work alongside their subcontractors, consultants and key stakeholders to raise vital funds to donate life-saving children's medical equipment.

The Children's Hospital at Westmead is the largest paediatric centre in NSW. Humpty supports hospitals like CHW through its Wish List, where equipment needs are identified such as the Babylog VN800 Neonatal Ventilator as requested by the Grace Centre for Newborn Intensive Care.

This specialised unit cares for more than 600 premature newborns, neonates, and critically ill infants with complex medical conditions who are often the state's sickest infants - some as young as 23 weeks.

The Babylog VN800 Neonatal Ventilator is an important part of the care delivered in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The aim of any ventilation strategy is to support the premature infant’s respiratory system without inducing damage to the lung or the brain. It is a highly complex and challenging process that is streamlined with the use of this ventilator.

Kane's vision is to be able to donate equipment like the Babylog Ventilator to The Children's Hospital at Westmead. To do this we need your help.

Questions

How is Humpty helping?

In these uncertain times, one thing is for certain - Australian hospitals need life-saving equipment more than ever. Through the support of all our individual donors and corporate partners, Humpty has been able to ease the load for frontline doctors and nurses around the nation by providing much needed equipment to hospitals in metropolitan, rural and remote areas.

During 2021 our support from donors continued to grow as Humpty provided an unprecedented 700 pieces of medical equipment valued at $4.5 million to hospitals and health services across Australia.

Two-thirds of all donated equipment was distributed to rural and remote Australia, reflecting Humpty’s commitment to ensure children have access to the care they need, no matter where they live.

How does Humpty make a tangible difference?

add remove

One of Humpty's breakthrough fundraising methods was the creation of Humpty’s Wish List in 2001. Each piece of medical equipment item that appears on the Wish List has been specifically requested by a hospital to meet an urgent need and is approved by our Medical Sub-Committee.

Humpty’s Wish List provides donors the opportunity to choose a piece of medical equipment within their budget for a hospital of their choice. Each piece of medical equipment donated is purchased directly by the Humpty Dumpty Foundation and delivered to the nominated hospital. All medical equipment purchases and donations received are 100% tax deductible and make a significant difference to the health and well-being of hundreds of thousands of children across Australia.

Humpty’s Wish List makes a real tangible difference to Australian hospitals, ensuring they have equitable access to medical equipment they need.

The Humpty Dumpty Foundation is the largest charitable supplier of children’s medical equipment behind State and Territory Governments across Australia and is working hard with health officials and communities to ensure all states and territories have the equipment they need.
